Work to redevelop a former college site as a retirement homes complex is to begin next month.
Inverness College UHI moved out of Midmills, near Inverness city centre, to the city's new Beechwood Campus in 2015.
More than 80 retirement homes are to be created at Midmills.
Developer McCarthy and Stone is to construct 45 of the properties and Highland Council 40 affordable retirement homes.
The site's historic and listed Inverness Royal Academy building is to be turned into a studio and art gallery for local artists.
The first phase of the redevelopment will involve demolished buildings not needed for the construction project.
The Scottish Futures Trust, an independent company set up by the Scottish government, has been working with the Scottish Funding Council and Inverness College UHI on securing a new use for Midmills.
