Transformers arrive for £1.1bn Caithness-Moray project

Four transformers for an electricity substation in Caithness have arrived in the area by sea from Sweden.
Each of the four large pieces of equipment weighs about 170 tonnes.
They have been unloaded from a ship at Port of Scrabster, near Thurso, to be taken by road to SSE's Spittal substation at Achanarras.
The substation is part of the £1.1bn Caithness-Moray Project, which when completed will transmit electricity from renewable energy schemes.
A large part of the project involves laying a subsea cable from Noss in Caithness to Portgordon in Moray.
The transformers are to be moved by road on Tuesday 16 May and also 21 May, 31 May and 5 June.
