A project that provides free wi-fi in parts of Inverness has been extended to other parts of the city.
Officially launched in February, Ness Wifi is an open network free for all users and has no restrictions on time.
The coverage had previously been focused on the Victorian Market and nearby streets.
The new areas include the High Street, Inverness Castle, Eden Court and the bus and railway stations.
Ness Wifi forms part of the Inverness and Highland City-Region Deal, a £315m joint initiative supported by up the UK and Scottish governments, Highland Council, Highlands and Islands Enterprise and University of the Highland and Islands.
Mike Smith, manager of Inverness Business Improvement District, said extending the reach of the service would benefit local residents and also visitors to the city.
UK government minister Lord Duncan said it showed that the city-region deal was making "a tangible difference" to people in Inverness.
