About 300 riders set off from the snow-capped summit of Aonach Mor
About 300 daring mountain bikers have completed an Easter weekend descent of a snow-capped Scottish mountain. The Macavalanche event on Saturday saw them simultaneously hurtle down Aonach Mor in the Nevis range near Fort William.

Before the fun could start there was hard job of getting to the start line

There were easier ways to ascend, but let's hope that bike was well secured

Some provided their own musical entertainment as they made their way to the top

The riders assembled by the start line near the top of the mountain

The mountain reaches 1,221m and the descent began in deep snow

Described as a "race for the fearless", the riders were probably too busy concentrating to take in much of the scenery
