Hand cyclist missing in the Highlands found safe

A man reported missing while tackling a walking route in the Highlands on his hand cycle has been traced safe and well, say police.

Gerard Storey, 64, has been travelling between Ardgay in south west Sutherland to Ullapool in Wester Ross.

His hand cycle is a bike powered hands and arms rather than pedalling the conventional way.

A Police Scotland helicopter was involved in a search of the Oykel Bridge area on Thursday.
