Boy, 15, charged with man's murder in Alness

A 15-year-old boy has been charged with the murder of a man in a town in the Highlands.

Police Scotland said officers received a report of a disturbance in Milnafua, Alness, at about 12:30 on Saturday.

Emergency services attended a property and a 48-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The boy appeared at Inverness Sheriff Court on Monday. He made no plea and was committed for further examination and released on bail.
