Union meeting refuses Aberdeen City Council pay offer
- Published
A mass meeting of Aberdeen council workers rejected a proposal to settle a dispute over pay.
Workers have been offered a 1.5% increase in pay, in lieu of a salary increment rise the authority wants to put off until next April.
It is designed to save the council about £4.5m.
A full ballot of members will now recommend rejection, after the meeting was held at the city's Beach Ballroom on Tuesday.
