Profits fall at Aberdeen-based John Wood Group

Aberdeen-based John Wood Group has reported a 24% fall in first-half profits.
The energy services company posted a pre tax profit of £78.6m ($122.6m) for the first six months of 2010, compared to £103.1m ($160.8m).
The firm said it was in line with expectations and was confident for the second half of the year if oil and gas drilling expenditure grew.
Wood Group shares were largely unaffected in early trading.
