Aberdeen councillor faces court embezzlement charge
- Published
An Aberdeen councillor and his wife have been charged in court with embezzlement.
Scott Cassie, 60, and 58-year-old Moira Cassie allegedly carried out the crime between August 1998 and June last year.
Police were asked last year to investigate the finances of Garthdee Community Council following claims of financial mismanagement.
They made no plea at Aberdeen Sheriff Court. The case was continued and they were bailed.
