Press and Journal editor to step down after 18 years

Derek Tucker has been editor of the Press and Journal for 18 years
The longest-serving editor of a daily Scottish newspaper is to step down, it has been announced.
Derek Tucker, 57, has been the Aberdeen-based editor of the Press and Journal for the past 18 years but will leave in January.
The Press and Journal - which dates back to 1747 - is a regional daily which mainly serves the north and north east of Scotland.
It was named regional newspaper of the year last year.
The Press and Journal celebrated its 250th anniversary during Mr Tucker's spell in charge.
He told BBC Scotland the newspaper had weathered difficult times better than most due to its strong loyal readership.
Mr Tucker said he was most proud of the Press and Journal's work for charity, raising £10m for local causes.
