Operation Maple has been targeting drugs, violence and anti-social behaviour

Drugs worth thousands of pounds have been seized and more than 30 people charged after a police crackdown in Aberdeen.

Operation Maple was launched last month to tackle drugs, violence and anti-social behaviour in the city.

Grampian Police said drugs including crack cocaine and heroin were recovered, as well as thousands of pounds in cash.

The force warned the operation would not be a one-off.

Ch Supt Adrian Watson said: "We are delighted by the positive results that have been achieved during Operation Maple."
