A NorthLink ferry has been left damaged after a collision with another vessel in Aberdeen Harbour.

The Hrossey was berthed when involved in the incident with an oil industry supply vessel on Thursday evening.

NorthLink said the impact had left two deep gouge marks in the side of the Shetland and Orkney ferry.

A spokesperson said Friday night's northbound sailing and Saturday night's southbound sailing from Lerwick had been cancelled pending repairs.

Hrossey is expected to resume service with the northbound sailing to Kirkwall and Lerwick on Sunday night.
