  • Published

Proposals aimed at saving £58m over the next two years have been backed by Aberdeenshire councillors.

Members had been told that would be the equivalent of 900 full-time jobs, equivalent to about 10% of the workforce.

The council's budget proposals were approved by 44 votes to five, with six abstentions.

Aberdeen City Council has also indicated a reduction of 900 employees, as it looks to make savings.
