Head teachers in two snow-hit council areas are to hold meetings to discuss how to help pupils catch up after they missed many lessons due to the weather.

Aberdeenshire and Moray were two of the worst-hit areas of Scotland during the problems in November and December.

Thousands of pupils - many preparing for exams - lost valuable time in the classroom during disruption caused by the heavy snow.

School heads are to hold meetings in the coming days.
