Snails blamed for postbox problems in Finzean
- Published
Snails have been blamed for damaging mail in an Aberdeenshire village.
The snails entered the postbox in the village of Finzean after reportedly being attracted to the glue on envelopes.
The problem was reported by a local postman, who was confronted with the visitors as he collected the post.
A Royal Mail spokeswoman said: "We have arranged for the postbox to be cleaned out and the snails sensitively relocated."
She added: "Any damage caused has been minimal."
