Two rural school closures backed in Aberdeenshire

Proposals to close two rural schools have been backed by Aberdeenshire Council's education committee.
The handful of pupils attending both Clatt and Logie Coldstone schools face being moved to neighbouring primaries.
A final decision on the issue is expected to be taken on Thursday by the council's policy and resources committee.
The local authority said closing the schools would save more than £200,000 a year.
