A second teenager has appeared in court after an incident in the Aberdeenshire town of Banff which saw streets evacuated.
Residents were asked to leave their homes and a 100m cordon was erected around seven streets in the Low Shore area earlier this month.
Samuel Howitt, 18, of Rosyth, appeared at Peterhead Sheriff Court on Thursday charged with conspiracy.
He made no plea and was released on bail.
At a previous hearing, Connor Ward, 19, faced two charges under the Explosive Substances Act 1883 and another charge under the Criminal Justice and Licensing (Scotland) Act 2010.
He also made no plea or declaration, and was remanded in custody.
