The funeral of an airman who died when two Tornado GR4 jets crashed in the Moray Firth has been held.

The service for Flt Lt Adam Sanders, 27, who grew up in Lancashire, was held at St Aidan's Church at RAF Lossiemouth.

The planes from 15 (Reserve) Sqd at the Moray base crashed into the sea south of Wick, Caithness, on 3 July.

Three of the four airmen involved died. The survivor has been receiving treatment in hospital.

The remains of Flt Lt Sanders and Sqd Ldr Samuel Bailey were recovered from the crash scene.

Flt Lt Hywel Poole was airlifted to hospital after the crash, but later died.

The crash happened during a training flight.
