Union talks over Aberdeen Journals jobs threat

Moves to outsource distribution of the Press and Journal and Evening Express newspapers, putting dozens of jobs at risk, are to be discussed by management and unions.

Owner DC Thomson announced last week that it would hold a redundancy consultation with 59 staff in Aberdeen and Inverness.

The meeting between union officials and management is due to take place on Tuesday afternoon.

DC Thomson bought the titles in 2006.
