Two new stations on the railway line between Aberdeen and Inverness are to be opened.

Kintore, in Aberdeenshire, and Dalcross, near Inverness Airport, will be brought into use. The full funding details are not yet known.

Kintore's original station shut down in the 1960s.

Aberdeenshire West SNP MSP Dennis Robertson welcomed news that the railway station is to reopen.
