The body of a man found on the shoreline in the St Cyrus area of Aberdeenshire was that of a missing Fife man, police have said.
Sea angler Fraser Carrington, 32, was night fishing at Tangleha, north of St Cyrus, when he disappeared from rocks in the early hours of last Sunday.
His body was recovered on Friday.
Police Scotland said next of kin had been informed and a report would be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
A spokesman added that there were no suspicious circumstances.
