Two men in court for '£60,000 of cannabis' in Laurencekirk

Two men have appeared in court after cannabis with an estimated street value of £60,000 was recovered in Aberdeenshire.

Police said the recovery was made in Laurencekirk on Tuesday.

Stuart Horne, 26, of Aberdeen, and Mark Kane, 50, of Laurencekirk, faced drugs charges at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Thursday.

They made no plea and were released on bail.

UPDATE: Kane pleaded guilty to the charge in June 2015, while Mr Horne's not guilty pleas were accepted.
