Moray councillor Eric McGillivray standing down

One of Moray Council's longest-serving councillors is standing down.
Independent Eric McGillivray - who was elected in 2003 - said he had taken the decision for family reasons.
He was one of four councillors for the multi-member Heldon and Laich ward. A by-election will be held.
Mr McGillivray, of Hopeman, said: "The decision to stand down is not one that I have taken lightly. It has been an honour and a privilege to have served the ward in which I live."
