A fisherman who fell overboard from a boat in the North Sea off Aberdeen earlier this month has been named.

Nuertey Annang, 47, from Ghana, was on the Banff-registered Aquarius when the incident happened on 17 August.

A major air and sea search was launched but no trace of Mr Annang was found. The crew had thrown him a life ring but lost sight of him.

The incident happened near Girdleness Lighthouse. More than 10 vessels were involved in the search.
