The projected cost of the Inverurie school is about £50m. There is not yet a figure for Lossiemouth.
Moray Council and Aberdeenshire Council both welcomed the funding news for the schools.
George Alexander, vice-chairman of Moray's children and young people's services committee, said: "Parents, pupils and staff can look forward to having a new school building with the most up-to-date facilities and which will provide a fantastic environment for teaching and learning for years to come."
'Excellent facility'
Alison Evison, Aberdeenshire's chairwoman of the education, learning and leisure committee, said: "Completion is planned for 2019.
"It will help us to continue our improvements to the secondary school estate and provide an excellent facility for people in Inverurie."
The new schools will be among 19 schools across Scotland receiving investment totalling £230m.
Ms Sturgeon said: "We are working hard to improve educational standards across the country to make sure that every child in Scotland has the ability to achieve their potential."
