Aberdeenshire Council warns of £28m of savings

Aberdeenshire Council has warned that it faces having to make more than £28m of savings this year.

Councillors will be told next week, external that the proposed savings for 2016/17 run to £28.3m.

More than £6m of the savings had to be identified after details of the recent local government funding settlement were announced.

By 2021 it is being predicted there could be a funding shortfall of more than £45m.
