The famous former school of Prince Charles in Moray has commissioned a major £2m refurbishment and extension.

Prince Charles followed in the footsteps of his father, the Duke of Edinburgh, to study at Gordonstoun, Elgin, in the early 1960s.

The school is to open a new boarding house thanks to a refurbishment and extension of an unused building.

Local contractor Robertson Northern has been awarded the contract. The extension is due by August.
