Kingswells care home complaint being investigated

  • Published

The Care Inspectorate is investigating a complaint about an Aberdeen home.

The nature of the complaint about Kingsmead in Kingswells has not been made public.

A Care Inspectorate spokesman said its first priority was the health, safety and wellbeing of residents.

He said they had become aware of proposed changes in management arrangements following meetings with Kingsmead's operators, Mead Medical Services.

An inspection of the home is ongoing.

Mead is advertising for a new manager for the home, which caters for 65 elderly residents.

The company has not responded to a request for comment from BBC Scotland.
