New offer to Aberdeen Airport staff after Acas talks

A revised pay offer has been made, aimed at preventing strikes by workers at Aberdeen Airport.

The deal will now be put to members of the Unite union, who overwhelmingly rejected a previous offer.

Airport management and officials from the Unite union held four hours of talks at the conciliation service Acas on Monday afternoon.

A 24-hour action is planned for this Friday, then 2 and 16 August, unless the dispute is resolved.

Unite had said the action would involve about 170 workers, including security and airfield operations.
