Woman, 28, dies after three-vehicle crash on A96 in Moray

A 28-year-old woman has died after a three-vehicle accident in Moray.

The crash, which involved a red Audi A3, a white Ford transit van and a grey Peugeot 2008, happened on the A96 between Fochabers and Keith.

Police Scotland said the A96 was closed in both directions, after being alerted at about 08:35, and diversions were put in place.

Three other people were taken to hospital with what were described as minor injuries.

Sgt Scott Deans said: "The road will remain closed while our investigations into this incident continue.

"I am appealing for any witnesses to the crash, or any drivers with potential dashcam footage, to please come forward and assist our ongoing inquiries."
