Man and woman killed in crash on Orkney island of Sanday

Police are investigating a car crash in which two people died on Sanday in Orkney.
Emergency services were alerted to the single-vehicle crash near the island's Coo Road at about 08:45.
A 39-year-old man and a 34-year-old woman were pronounced dead at the scene. An accident investigation team has been sent from Inverness.
The accident has shocked the close-knit community on the island which has a population of 550.
Chief Insp Ali Garrow said: "Our thoughts are very much with the family and friends of those who sadly lost their lives. They are a local couple and their families are aware.
"Officers from Police Scotland's road traffic unit are carrying out inquiries to establish the full circumstances of what has happened.
"We are asking anyone who may have seen what happened or has information that could help our investigation to get in touch. If you were in the area and have dash-cam, or anything else that could assist officers, please contact us, external."
