Police in Aberdeen have launched a murder investigation following the death of a woman in Dyce.
A body was discovered outside an address on Stoneywood Road, close to the Marriot Hotel, at about 03:30 on Saturday.
Police Scotland have confirmed the woman was 47-year-old Jill Barclay who lived in the area.
They said a 22-year-old man had been arrested and charged in connection with the death.
Ms Barclay's family issued a statement on Sunday.
It read: "Jill was a deeply loved life partner, mother and daughter. We would now appreciate being left in peace to grieve privately."
Police said inquiries would be ongoing for some time in the area to establish the full circumstances of what happened.
Det Supt Andrew Patrick, of Police Scotland's major investigation team, said: "Our thoughts are very much with Jill's family and friends at what is a very difficult time for them.
"We have a dedicated team of officers in the area working on this investigation and I would like to reassure the community that they can speak to them if they have any concerns.
"I am appealing to anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area who has not already spoken to officers to get in touch, external."
