Fisherman flown to hospital after going overboard off Fraserburgh

A fishermen was flown to hospital in Shetland after going overboard from a Fraserburgh-registered boat.
The alarm was raised by the Northern Star about 93 miles (150km) east of Fraserburgh on Sunday afternoon.
The crewman was helped back aboard the vessel by the crew. He was then flown to Lerwick by the Sumburgh-based Coastguard helicopter before being taken to Gilbert Bain Hospital.
Police Scotland said he suffered non life-threatening injuries.
The Marine Accident Investigation Branch (MAIB) said in a statement: "The MAIB is aware of an incident that occurred yesterday onboard the fishing vessel Northern Star.
"A preliminary assessment is being undertaken and evidence is being gathered. At this stage we have not deployed inspectors to the site and are gathering evidence remotely.
"A decision on whether an investigation is to be undertaken will be taken by the chief inspector in the coming weeks once the evidence has been reviewed."
