Motorcyclist injured in crash with police van in Aberdeen

A motorcyclist has been injured after he was involved in a crash with a police van in Aberdeen.
Police were alerted to reports of the collision on Granitehill Road in Northfield at about 02:50.
The 35-year-old motorcyclist was taken to hospital and police said no-one else was hurt in the crash. Officers cordoned off the area.
A spokesperson for the force said inquiries were ongoing to establish the circumstances.
The incident will be referred to the Police Investigations and Review Commissioner (PIRC), police confirmed.
