Boys, aged 14 and 15, charged over Elgin murder bid

Two boys, aged 14 and 15, have been charged in connection with an attempted murder in Elgin, police have said.

The incident happened at about 22:45 on Sunday in the High Street area of the town.

A 25-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Police Scotland said the boys had been arrested and charged and were expected to appear at Elgin Sheriff Court at a later date.
