Man and woman in court over alleged Buckie stabbing

Two people have appeared in court charged with assault to the danger of life after a woman was allegedly stabbed in Moray.
Police received a report of an assault at Milton Drive in Buckie shortly before 13:00 on Sunday.
The 32-year-old woman was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment.
Ashley Reaich, 32, and Lauren Harper, 30, were charged with assault to severe injury, permanent disfigurement and the danger of life at Elgin Sheriff Court.
Mr Reaich was also charged with having an article with a blade or point in public.
He made no plea and was remanded in custody. Ms Harper made no plea and was released on bail.
UPDATE: Proceedings against Lauren Harper were later dropped. Ashley Reaich was then jailed for six years on 22 May 2024 after he earlier admitted assault to the danger of life.
