Man in court charged with murder of woman in Peterhead

Elizabeth Watson died in Peterhead

A man has appeared in court charged with murder after the death of a 58-year-old woman in Aberdeenshire.

Elizabeth Watson died at an address in Peterhead's Catto Drive on Tuesday.

A statement from relatives said: "Elizabeth was a much loved mum and grandma, she will be missed dearly by many."

Jonathon Divers, 30, from Peterhead, appeared at the town's sheriff court. He made no plea and was remanded in custody.
