A serious bus blaze has been tackled by firefighters in Aberdeenshire.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) was alerted to the incident near Potarch, west of Banchory, at about 08:10.
Three appliances attended, and the fire - which engulfed the Stagecoach service bus - was extinguished.
Two passengers were on board at the time of the incident but were said to have left the bus safely. An investigation has been launched.
"We can confirm one of our vehicles was involved in an incident between Kincardine O'Neil and Potarch this morning," Stagecoach North Scotland said in a statement.
"The two passengers on board were safely evacuated from the vehicle."
The statement added: "We take any incident of this nature extremely seriously and always carry out an in-depth investigation.
"This includes determining the root cause and immediately taking any corrective action needed."
The SFRS confirmed: "There were no reported casualties and crews left the scene after ensuring the area was made safe."
