Biker killed in crash with car in Aberdeenshire

A man has died after his motorbike was involved in a crash with a car in Aberdeenshire.

The collision happened on the A952, close to Clola near Mintlaw, at about 13:10.

Police Scotland said: "A 48-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the car, a 69-year-old woman, was checked at the scene by the Scottish Ambulance Service.

"Inquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the incident."

The road was closed and diversions put in place.
