Sales increase at snowball firm, Lees Foods

The confectionery firm, Lees Foods has reported an increase in sales of 9% in the first half of this year.

The company said profits were expected to be significantly ahead of last year's figure of £394,000.

The group comprises of Lees of Scotland which makes macaroon bars and snowballs and the Waverley Bakery which makes ice cream cones.

Lees, which is based in Coatbridge, recently won new export customers in Kuwait, France, USA and Australia.
