Robert Wiseman Dairies delists from the Stock Exchange

Robert Wiseman Dairies was taken over by Muller Dairy in a deal worth almost £280m

Britain's biggest fresh milk company Robert Wiseman has delisted from the London stock exchange following its takeover by Muller Dairy.

The company agreed the deal, worth almost £280m, in mid-January.

The Scottish group operated seven dairies across the UK and counted The Co-operative Group, Sainsbury's and Tesco amongst its customers.

The East Kilbride-based company provides about 30% of the fresh milk consumed in the UK every day.

Muller is based in Bavaria in Germany and makes yoghurts and potted desserts.

The headquarters of Muller Dairy (UK) Ltd is in Market Drayton in Shropshire.
