Talks aimed at preventing potential industrial action by offshore workers have taken place.

The Unite and GMB unions have claimed there has not been enough consultation on moves by members of the Offshore Contractors Association (OCA) to change rota patterns in a bid to cut costs.

The OCA said its members needed to make changes due to lower oil prices.

It said a "potential way forward" had been discussed during the meeting, and it hoped for more talks.

The discussions were held in Aberdeen.
