An MSP has appeared in court charged with 30 separate offences, including assault to injury and permanent disfigurement.

Bill Walker is also accused of 15 separate counts of assault, 13 of assault to injury and one of breach of the peace.

The Dunfermline MSP made no plea and was granted bail when he appeared at the town's sheriff court.

Mr Walker, from Alloa, was elected as an SNP MSP at last year's election.

He was expelled from the party in April, but has appealed against the party's decision.
