Scottish independence reports: Regulation

• Fiscal Commission Working Group report: Macroeconomic Framework of an Independent Scotland (Scottish government) (15 February, 2013) -The Scottish government's fiscal commission working group recommended retaining Sterling as part of a formal monetary union as a strong framework for Scotland post-independence.

• Regulation reform: Economic and Competition Regulation in an Independent Scotland (Scottish government) (February 28, 2013) -The Scottish government said that, under independence, the industry regulation landscape could be simplified to one more appropriate for a country of Scotland's size.

• Consumer Protection and Representation in an Independent Scotland (Scottish government) (13 August 2013) - The Scottish government said the UK's current system for protecting consumers was not fit for purpose, and that independence would offer an opportunity to simplify current arrangements with a single body.
