SNP will regroup after losing Rutherglen, says Humza Yousaf

Scotland's First Minister Humza Yousaf says the Rutherglen and Hamilton West by-election was a "disappointing night for the SNP".

The "reckless actions" of former MP Margaret Ferrier and the police investigations into SNP finances played a part in the poor result, the SNP leader said.

But he says the party will reflect, regroup and reorganise and bounce back stronger.

"The buck does absolutely stop me, but I think everybody knows this particular by-election had some very difficult contextual factors around it," he says.
