South of Scotland farmers raise milk price concerns

  • Published

A south of Scotland MP has hosted a meeting between local dairy farmers and UK agriculture minister Jim Paice.

David Mundell, who represents the Dumfriesshire, Clydesdale and Tweeddale constituency, organised the talks in Edinburgh.

He said he had received representations over the "unsustainably low" prices being paid for milk.

Mr Mundell added he hoped it could ensure a "fair playing field" between producers and supermarkets.
