Chipmunk to headline free Dumfries music festival

Chart star Chipmunk has been announced as the headline act for a free youth music festival in Dumfries this summer.
Last year several thousand fans crowded into the town's Dock Park to see N-Dubz at the Youth Beatz event.
This year's festival, to be held on 13 August, hopes to attract similar numbers of spectators.
MOBO award winner Chipmunk has recorded seven top 40 hits so far and is also performing at T in the Park and Glastonbury this summer.
Dumfries Provost Jack Groom said: "Youth Beatz is an opportunity for our whole community to show support of our young people, through engaging with them in an environment which they own and want to be in.
"Alongside providing information for young people which will help them access services and new opportunities, Youth Beatz is about young people enjoying themselves.
"Nithsdale Area Committee are delighted to be contributing to Youth Beatz, alongside commercial sponsorship."
Other acts are expected to be announced in the run up to the event.
However, a guest appearance from former X-Factor contestant Wagner has already been confirmed.
