Dumfries and Galloway elderly group set to close

  • Published

A charity which represented thousands of elderly people across Dumfries and Galloway is set to close.

The move by the Seniors Forum comes amid claims of a shortage of funding needed to continue operations.

At an extraordinary general meeting, members of the organisation voted unanimously in a favour of a motion to dissolve the organisation.

Its remaining assets and liabilities will be transferred to the charity Age Scotland.
