Reston station case taken to Scottish Parliament

The case for reopening Reston railway station in the Borders is being taken to the Scottish Parliament.
MSP John Lamont will open a members' debate on rail services in Berwickshire and East Lothian.
The Borders Conservative wants East Coast Main Line trains to stop at the village, en route to and from Edinburgh and Berwick.
Members of the campaign group RAGES - Rail Action Group East of Scotland - hope to attend the debate.
Lib Dem MSP Jim Hume is also backing a moves to reopen the Reston site and one at East Linton.
He said both stations could play a role in tackling emissions from car journeys and in encouraging tourism.
Transport Minister Keith Brown visited the Berwickshire village recently to examine the situation for himself.
He said further study was needed of the proposals, especially "in the context of reducing resources".
A campaign has been fought for some time to have the station reopened after it shut more than 40 years ago.
