Dumfries and Galloway postal vote packs lack ballot papers

Nearly 900 postal vote packs have been sent out across Dumfries and Galloway without the ballot papers needed for council elections on 3 May.
Council staff are working to ensure contractors rectify the mistake - blamed on human error at the printers.
Returning officer for the region, Alex Haswell, said everyone affected had been identified.
He said they should all receive a new voting pack by 26 April and "would not lose their vote".
In total 22,080 postal voting packs were issued by an external contractor but "due to an error" a total of 890 packs issued did not contain ballot papers.
Anyone who has still not received their postal ballot paper by Thursday evening, or is going on holiday in the next two days, has been advised to contact the council on 030 33 33 3000.
